He has been responsible for the selection and siting of more
than 13 waste disposal facilities to service Central Queensland
Local Governments.
He has been
responsible for the design and introduction of waste transfer systems
and sites to suit the needs of rural Local Government.
He has considerable
experience in the application of EPP's under the Environmental
Protection Act 1994 and conducting audit of ERA's
During his
experience in Local Government he developed extensive experience
in the collection and transportation of solid wastes and the drafting,
implementing and supervising of cooperative waste contracts with
large waste collection companies. He had developed and implemented
IEM Systems
In 1992 he
introduced Central Queensland's first full cost recover waste disposal
facility. He has conducted reviews and research into waste recycling
programs and waste minimization.
Planning
He has been responsible for drafting an IPA planning scheme and
the administration of Transitional and IPA scheme for Local Government
He has represented
client as Agent in the Planning and Environment Court of Queensland.
He has managed
development application for project from client in dealing with
various local governments

Site Remediation
He has been responsible for contaminated site remediation and
disposal of hazardous chemicals within central Queensland.
Building
Surveying
He has 30 years experience in Building Surveying and is accredited
by the Queensland Building Services the level of Building
Technician. In 1984 he introduced Queensland's first
TAFE based Home Owner-Builder course.
Community
Consultation
He has extensive experience in community consultation and successful
implementation of sensitive projects. He understands the strength
and challenges of regional and rural local government, while working
cooperatively to assist all parties to understand the many facets
of a project.
Legislation
Drafting
In 1993 he drafted Queensland's first Local Laws to Licence
Dog Owners. He has drafted Subordinate Laws for a number of Local
Governments, and has conducted Local Law Officer enforcement
training.In 2001 he introduces Queensland's first enforcement
of Local laws by contract..
